devised performance lab

In 2023, CPP organized the inaugural pilot edition of a new satellite program, the Devised Performance Lab, an intensive residency for research and development of original hybrid time-based works. Our 2023 Lab pilot was selected by invitation, and we are thrilled to welcome our first cohort, comprised of Montserrat Videla Samper (Mexico) and Patrick Blenkarn (Canada) who will spend a week with us on early performance research working towards their new collaborative devised work titled POLARIS, under the mentorship of WaxFactory’s co-founders Ivan Talijancic and Erika Latta.

Following the 2023 pilot edition, we are currently exploring the possibility of integrating the Lab into the future edition of CPP summer intensive, which would give devising practitioners an opportunity to experiment with a new project with a cohort of performers over a two week period.
